Alison (WTA D-112) and her partner Greet Minnen (WTA D-121) are on a roll at the Chicago (United States, WTA 125) doubles tournament.
After their upset against first seeds, the American-Dutch pair Kaitlyn Christian (WTA D-59) and Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove (WTA D-91), they have now also got rid of the Indonesian tandem Aldila Sutjiadi (WTA D-145) and Beatrice Gumulya (WTA D-196).
Against Christian and Pattinama Kerkhove, the Belgian couple still won relatively smoothly with two times 6-4, in their quarterfinals they had to battle in three sets. They won the encounter 6-2, 6-7 (6) and 10-4.
Eri Hozumi (WTA D-125) from Japan and Peangtarn Plipuech (WTA D-182) from Thailand now await in the semifinals.
