The draw for the Australian Open has given Alison the chance to play one of the top players on the biggest stage. Alison will try to upset defending champion Caroline Wozniacki in the opening round.
It promises to be some match between the Danish player, ranked as world No. 3, and Ali. It will be the second time they meet on the WTA tour. They played each other last year in Rome, where Alison made Wozniacki work for it in the second set. Alison hopes to do more of the same now in Melbourne.
Wozniacki is a former world number one. She has two major wins in her career so far: the 2018 Australian Open and the 2017 WTA Finals.
