Alison started her Asian tour at Seoul. Unfortunately she was on the losing end of a close match versus Ajla Tomljanovic from Australia. Alison did win the first set but eventually fell two points short of victory.
Alison got off to a great start, winning the first three games rather easily. That first break remained on the scoreboard for the remainder of the set. Alison had no trouble to serve out the set.
Tomljanovic had to do something and she did. Alison saved three break points in the second game of the second set but caved under the pressure a bit later. As a result, she was trailing by one game to four. Alison then showed her great fighting spirit and won three games in a row to make it four all. In the final games of the set, Tomljanovic was able to strike one more time. Alison saved a set point at 4-5 but lost her next servicegame.
A dediding third set was pretty even in the first six games. Then, Alison took a five games to three lead and looked on her way to victory. At 5-4, she went up 30-0 and needed only two more points. But Tomljanovic was able to win that game and to turn the match on its head. This way, Alison was beaten 6-3 5-7 5-7.
