This week the Belgian Fed Cup team is playing in the first group of the Euro-African zone in order to qualify for the play-offs for World Group II. Belgium is seeded fourth, and will play in Group D together with Latvia, Israel and Croatia. If they manage to win their group, they will face the winner of Group A (Serbia, Hungary and Austria). The winner of this encounter will participate at the play-offs for World Group II in April
Tomorrow Belgium will play its first match in Budapest. On Thursday they play against Israel on Friday against Croatia. Every day two singles and one doubles match will be played. The Belgian team consists of Alison, Yanina Wickmayer, Kirsten Flipkens and An-Sophie Mestach. It is not known yet who will come in action for Belgium.
