Alison (WTA-47) had been given a wildcard for the tournament in Limoges, France, where she participated this week.
In the singles first round, third seeded Alison Van Uytvanck faced Spanish opponent Sara Sorribes Tormo (WTA-84). Both players already played each other twice. Each player came away with one win. Their last meeting was at the French Open of 2019. Sorribes Tormo prevailed in three sets. This time, Sorribes Tormo proved again to be to strong in France. Alison lost 4-6 4-6.
Alison (WTA D-122) also participated in doubles, together with Greet Minnen (WTA D-153). The Belgian duo lost to Ekaterina Alexandrova (RUS – WTA D-99) and Oksana Kalashnikova (GEO WTA D-163), the fourth seeds, despite making it close. Alison and Greet lost 3-6 6-3 [7-10].
