Alison plays Carla Suarez Navarro on opening day of Fed Cup tie

Alison will be the leading lady of her nation in the Fed Cup when Belgium plays Spain this weekend to stay in the World Group. She’ll be in action on Saturday in one of the singles matches.

The Fed Cup tie will be played on hardcourt and is taking place at Lange Munte in Kortrijk, Belgium. The opening ceremony will take place at 1.15 pm local time. After that, the focus will turn to the games with Kirsten Flipkens playing Garbiñe Muguruza. When that match is finished, Alison will step on the court to face Carla Suarez Navarro.

Ali’s opponent is ranked as the world number 27. Alison played her twice before and lost both times but let’s hope third time is a charm.
