Alison retires at Roland Garros

Alison (WTA-65) was not able to reach the third round of Roland Garros (France, Grand Slam). She gave up against a Romanian qualifier.

Alison faced Irina Bara (WTA-142) on Court 5. The Belgian started as favourite, but never got into her rhythm and lost the first set with 1-6.

Ali took a medical time out and had her blood pressure checked. There was no improvement in the second set either, at 0-4 and 0-30 down she decided to retire. Normally she will still be in action later this week in the second round of the doubles.
