Alison starts with victory at Budapest

Alison confirmed her good performance from the Fed Cup at the Hungarian Ladies Open. Alison cruised past French player Océane Dodin (WTA-95) 6-3 6-2 in the first round at Budapest.

Alison enjoyed a great start and converted her second break point. Alison won the first three games. Dodin made it three all, despite two break points for Ali in the sixth game. Afterwards, Alison was able to win three straight games again and sealed the first set at the third set point.

In the second set, Alison succeeded in winning a very close third game. Alison extended her lead to 4-1. Her opponent only won one game after that. Despite a 40-0 Van Uytvanck lead, Dodin did force a deuce in the final game. Alison then ended the match by converting her fourth match point after 1h16 mins. In the next round Alison will play fifth seed Mihaela Buzarnescu or Lara Arruabarrena.
