Bad news for Alison (WTA 53). She will have to undergo a medical procedure on her right ankle and won’t be able to play tennis for three months. Ali will therefore not participate at the Fed Cup encounter against Serbia on April the 16th and 17th. She must also forfeit the entire clay court season and so will miss Roland Garros. Last year, the Belgian reached the quarterfinals in the second Grand Slam tournament of the season. She will therefore fall back out of the top 100.
It was not an easy decision for Alison but it is the only way to get back to full fitness.
