Alison wins her first WTA title in Quebec

This week, Alison (WTA-98) played the WTA tournament in Quebec (Canada, $ 250 000). After a very nice week, she played the final on Sunday against Timea Babos (WTA-63).

It was the second encounter between both players, their previous confrontation took place during the qualifications of Indian Wells in 2015 where Ali got the victory.

Today in the final, both players were equally matched in the first set but the Hungarian made the difference at the decisive moment, she won the set 5-7. In the second set, Alison got the advantage 6-4. During the match, Alison continued to improve her first service percentage, she also hit 10 aces. In the decisive set, the Belgian continued to put pressure on her opponent and won the set 6-1. The match lasted a little over two hours.

This is the first WTA title for Alison. a nice reward for the Belgian player who was injured at the start of the season.
