After beating Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (WTA-51) and Zarina Diyas (WTA-32) Alison was also too strong for Kristina Mladenovic (WTA-44) from France at Roland Garros on Saturday. Alison qualified relatively easily with 6-4 and 6-1 for the fourth round in Paris.
In the first set the Belgian got a quick 3-1 lead, but Mladenovic fought back immediately in the set: 3-3. A strong serving Van Uytvanck (74% first serve), however, gave here opponent no break opportunities anymore, and broke herself once again: 6-4.
In set two the French Mladenovic could not do much against the power of Ali. In no time it was 6-1 for the Belgian.
In the fourth round Ali will face Romanian Andreea Mitu (WTA-99) who beat Francesca Schiavone (WTA-92) from Italy in two sets (7-5 and 6-4).
