After her participation at the Viking Open Nottingham (Great Britain, WTA 250) last week, Alison (WTA-64) returns to action on the grass of Nottingham this week for an ITF tournament.
At the Nottingham Trophy (Great Britain, W100 + H), Alison met her compatriot Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA-128) in the first round. In this Belgian duel, the top seed Ali got the victory in just over an hour, proving that the English grass suits her. Alison won the first set with 6-3 in 40 minutes, and then continued to play strong. 28 minutes later, the 6-3 and 6-2 final score was on the scoreboard.
In the next round she will meet the Australian Lizette Cabrera (WTA-147). Alison (WTA D-100) also played doubles together with Greet Minnen (WTA D-105). As the third seed, the Belgian duo lost 3-6, 6-4 and 7-10 to the Indian Ankita Raina (WTA D-95) and the Mexican Renata Zarazua (WTA D-245).
