Alison suffered an exit at the Miami Open as Agnieszka Radwanska (WTA-32) turned out to be too strong. And this despite the fact that Alison looked on her way to another comeback in the second set. But it wasn’t meant to be as Alison lost 3-6 6-7 (4/7).
Alison had a breakpoint to take a 2-0-lead but Radwanska saved it. The start of the match was pretty even. When Alison was broken a first time, she immediately broke back. She couldn’t do that however a second time around. On her on service, Alison faced a number of setpoints. Radwanska took her chance on the third setpoint.
The Polonian player won the first two games in the second set. Alison then showed her fighting spirit and even led 3-2. She had her back against the wall though as Radwanska won the next three games. Alison responded yet again and tied the set at five all. She was leading 2-1 in the tie-break when Radwanska won four points in a row. It turned out to be a decisive couple of points. Alison lost the tie-break 4-7.
